This position is for a Carpenter in Calgary, responsible for the safe construction of foundations and other concrete structures on a commercial site. Requirements

• The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day
• The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season
• The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate
• Must have concrete form work experience
• Local candidates only
• This is a safety sensitive position

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset
• Valid first aid certificate an asset
• Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset

Responsibilities

• Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Builds footings, walls, column forms, slab forms, and stair forms and parapets
• Read and interpret drawings and/or receive instructions from a supervisor
• Carry out a variety of carpentry services (including backing, blocking, framing, installation and other general carpentry)
• Installs precast units, framing systems sheathing, exterior trims, interior/exterior doors and hardware, windows, flooring, wall coverings, washroom accessories and architectural materials
• Execute work with minimal supervision while working alongside a team and other sub-trades to complete projects
• Perform other construction related duties as assigned
• Maintaining a clean construction site
• Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards
• Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner
• Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures
