About The Position

The Casey Auto Group is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join their team. This role offers a tuition-free path for individuals with a good work ethic and attitude to become professional A-level technicians. The position is not entry-level and is intended for quality general repair technicians who wish to advance their careers. Apprentices will learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. Compensation is based on experience.

Requirements

• Must have either a formal education in automotive technology and/or some professional technician experience in an auto shop
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Great attitude, work ethic, and attendance
• Must have basic hand tools

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance
• Work alongside experienced Technicians
• Learn to test to check that systems and components are secure and working properly
• Identify the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
