About The Position

As an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills and knowledge in the aviation industry. This role is designed for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our aircraft maintenance team, ensuring our fleet remains at the pinnacle of safety and performance. Under the supervision of the Senior Base Engineer or Base Engineer, you will carry out repairs and line maintenance on Air Inuit’s fleet.

Requirements

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer college diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Air Inuit Maintenance and policies is an asset.
  • General knowledge of Air Inuit's Fleet.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to varying weather conditions.
  • Eager to learn, team player, and a passion for aviation.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces and stand for long periods.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft and base tasks, as they are assigned by an authorized signatory.
  • Maintain AMO facilities as directed.
  • Assist in routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of aircraft systems and components.
  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work alongside seasoned engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation technology and practices.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the Maintenance Department operational needs.
