About The Position

C&N is seeking an Appraisal Support Specialist I to support its Appraisal Department throughout the appraisal process. This position offers the opportunity to develop appraisal knowledge while working throughout the market area, with flexibility to work within one hour of the Jersey Shore, PA location. The role involves supporting the Appraisal Department, gathering courthouse documentation, obtaining property information, maintaining appraiser files, and supporting departmental operations. It also includes reviewing appraisals and evaluations for compliance, preparing reports, coordinating appraisal orders, and assisting loan staff.

Requirements

  • Some college or technical school courses in a related field AND less than one year of related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • USPAP certification within 180 days of employment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Travel throughout C&N's market area is required.
  • Candidates should reside within approximately one hour of our Jersey Shore, PA market.
  • Well-developed abilities and a proven track record in Technical Proficiency, including Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Appraisal Department by gathering courthouse documentation, obtaining property information, maintaining appraiser files, and supporting departmental operations.
  • Reviewing appraisals and evaluations to ensure compliance with USPAP, FDIC, and secondary market guidelines while maintaining accurate records.
  • Preparing and maintaining appraisal activity reports, tracking appraisal orders, and monitoring Third-Party Management Company activity.
  • Coordinating appraisal orders with approved appraisers, monitoring appraisal progress, and ensuring completed reports meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting loan staff by obtaining comparable property information, reviewing evaluations for accuracy and reasonableness, and maintaining evaluation records.
