About The Position

Spectrum is hiring a full-time Medical Appointment Clerk at the Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, Virginia. The center provides outpatient clinic services for enlisted and retired military personnel in association with Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital. This position performs coding duties in support of patient care and treatment and manages the clinic’s Appointment Center operations. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience.
• Proficiency in patient relations, appointment scheduling, and professional phone techniques.
• Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency with basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Real ID.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic’s Appointment Center.
• Assist in building templates and schedules.
• Enter provider schedules into the CHCS appointing system with Lead Physician approval.
• Assist with other duties as needed and assigned.
• Perform coding duties in support of patient care and treatment.
