About The Position

DualEntry is hiring an Applied Engineer to build and deploy customer-specific solutions for its AI-native ERP. The role embeds on named customer projects and owns the work end to end, from discovery and design through building, deployment, and verification. It includes creating reliable migration and integration pipelines, loading and reconciling accounting data, building internal tools to reduce recurring one-off work, and feeding reusable patterns back into the core product. The position aims to shorten the path from a customer request to a shipped solution.

Requirements

Hardcore work ethic and high agency.
At least 5 years shipping production full-stack software end to end and unsupervised.
Experience with Django and DRF, plus Postgres beyond ORM defaults; able to read query plans and run migrations against live data with customers on it.
Experience with Next.js and React with TypeScript.
Durable workflow experience; Celery is preferred.
Direct customer exposure, including scoping a problem with a customer and shipping a solution against it.
Experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, rate limits, and reconciling systems that disagree.

Nice To Haves

Accounting, ERP, or fintech domain knowledge, including double-entry, chart of accounts, close, accounts payable/receivable, or revenue recognition.
Prior forward-deployed, applied, or special projects experience.
Judgment about when to ship a script versus build a system.

Responsibilities

Own named customer projects end to end, including discovery, design, building, deployment, and verification.
Build migration and integration pipelines on Temporal that are idempotent, resumable, and auditable.
Model and load customer accounting data into Postgres correctly, including reconciling it against the customer's existing system.
Build internal tooling so recurring one-off tasks stop being one-offs.
Feed patterns back into the core product, and productize or hand off anything that becomes permanent.
Compress the path from customer request to shipped solution.
