About The Position

CEAE is housed within the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics (APEC). Our mission is to nurture a diverse and inclusive community engaged in innovative, evidence-based research that informs policy and promotes sustainability at the intersection of agriculture and the environment. CEAE-supported research primarily involves economic experiments in the laboratory and field, designed to better understand and address real-world economic, environmental, and policy challenges.

Requirements

  • Must be a first- or second-year UD student enrolled for Fall 2026
  • Declared undergraduate major in Environmental & Resource Economics (ENRE), Food & Agribusiness Marketing (FABM), or Statistics (STAT)
  • Demonstrate an interest in applied research and data-driven problem solving
  • Available for work at Townsend Hall
  • Commit to 8–10 hours per week during the academic year
  • Must be undergraduate students at the University of Delaware

Responsibilities

  • Compiling literature reviews and background research
  • Assisting with experiment data collection and lab setup
  • Administrative or logistical support for research operations
  • Program support for the CEAE Mentoring Network
  • Attend weekly check-ins with CEAE faculty and staff for ongoing guidance and progress updates
  • Develop a research project that will be exhibited at CEAE’s Ag Day booth in April 2027
  • Communicating their experience in the program through outreach activities
