About The Position
The Department of Planning is seeking an Applied Data Scientist for its Operations, Data, and Performance team. This position will integrate data from multiple systems, build reliable data pipelines and automated workflows, develop dashboards and other analytical products, evaluate programs and agency performance, and help staff and leadership use data to improve operations and decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Six (6) years of experience in professional-level administrative, operations, or technical work.
- Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial or equivalent out-of-state driver’s license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management.
- Must upload a copy of your valid driver’s license with application at time of applying.

- Previous work lead experience may be required.
