About The Position

University, Applied AI Software Developer The Opportunity: In the defense mission space, artificial intelligence (AI) is only as strong as the mathematical foundations that enable it. As an Applied AI Mathematics Intern, you’ll help our team explore emerging approaches in optimization, modeling, probability, and algorithmic development to advance the next generation of mission solutions. Massive real world data sets paired with operationally relevant problems give you the chance to apply academic theory to meaningful national security outcomes. On our team, you’ll work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and mission experts to understand client questions, apply mathematical methods to data driven challenges, and evaluate the performance of advanced AI and machine learning (ML) techniques. You’ll support algorithm design, model validation, analytic experimentation, and explainability analysis to help ensure deployed AI is trustworthy, robust, and operationally effective. Join us as we use applied mathematics to enhance the future of defense missions. Join us. The world can’t wait.
