About The Position

Taktile is redefining how financial institutions use AI to make critical decisions, and we're growing fast. As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll be at the heart of that transformation, helping to build advanced agentic products that solve high-value problems. You will take ownership of the AI agents you create, turning them into reusable applications that solve concrete customer problems at scale in the credit underwriting and financial risk space.
If you're passionate about applying AI to real-world financial decisioning, stay current on advances in generative AI, and bring a solid foundation in Python, SQL, and working with APIs, you'll thrive here.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of engineering, data science, or product management experience
• Eager to dive into the domain of our customers, including credit underwriting and financial risk assessment.
• Eager to develop a strong product sense by learning how to break down complex problems and turn customer needs into scalable, reusable solutions.
• Strong technical or quantitative background, preferably in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or Economics.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, driven by a curiosity to understand their needs and solve their challenges.
• Write clean, maintainable Python and SQL, and have a good understanding of REST APIs.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant internship or project experience in consulting, fintech, or investing; B2B SaaS experience is a plus.
• Experience applying statistical and machine learning models to solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable AI products: Design, develop, and deploy robust Generative AI agents that serve as configurable solutions to our customers.
• Drive scalable value: Collaborate with Solution and Forward Deployed Engineers during sales and implementation projects to understand customer needs. Contribute to standard templates and reusable components that reduce time-to-activation.
• Product vision and iteration: Synthesize customer feedback to improve your agents. Iterate on your solutions to solve use cases at scale.
• Collaborate with core product teams: Work closely with the core product team to prioritize platform features that unblock application development, and act as an expert user consultant during the development of new features.
