About The Position

The Agronomy Field Applicator safely, accurately, and efficiently applies crop protection products, fertilizers, and other agricultural inputs. The role operates and maintains application equipment, complies with regulatory requirements, and provides service to agricultural customers while supporting agronomy operations. Duties also include assisting customers, driving nurse trucks carrying dry or liquid products, and custom application of fertilizer and crop protectant products.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic understanding of truck operations.
Good driving record.
Class B Commercial Driver’s License, or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to work in a team environment.
High school graduate or GED.
Willingness to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Apply fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, and other crop inputs according to work orders, labels, and agronomic recommendations.
Operate custom application equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, tender trucks, nurse trucks, and related machinery.
Mix, load, and handle agricultural chemicals and fertilizers safely and accurately.
Inspect, maintain, and clean equipment and vehicles daily.
Maintain application records and complete documentation for regulatory compliance and billing.
Comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulations concerning chemical handling and transportation.
Assist with product delivery, warehouse operations, and inventory management as needed.
Communicate with customers, agronomists, and team members about application schedules and field conditions.
Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, and customer service opportunities.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and stay current on agronomic practices and regulations.
Assist customers and work collaboratively with the team.
