About The Position
As an Applicator at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for the application of agronomy products and to perform needed maintenance. This role involves loading, handling, and applying dry and liquid fertilizer, lime, and crop protection products. You will understand and safely operate the application equipment assigned, utilizing supplied information and technology to ensure accurate application and billing. The position also includes assisting with mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting products, inventory management, and minimizing errors through collaboration with supervisors and coworkers. Providing excellent customer service, adhering to all safety regulations (including PPE), and assisting with equipment and plant maintenance are key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will maintain positive communication, assist with scouting and product transportation, and complete necessary paperwork.
Requirements
- High School or GED diploma.
- Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Applicator’s License.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.
- Great basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities
- Load, handle, and apply dry and liquid fertilizer, lime, and crop protection products.
- Understand and safely operate the application equipment assigned.
- Utilize the information supplied and the technology in the application equipment to ensure that the right products at the right rates are applied and billed to the right fields and customers.
- Assist in the mixing, loading, unloading and transporting of crop protection and fertilizer products.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Works with supervisor and co-workers to keep errors to a minimum.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE) in handling and applying products and storing chemicals.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment and plant.
- Maintain positive communication with the supervisor and grower as needed.
- Assist with scouting, product transportation and various services for producers.
- Properly completes necessary paperwork and records.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
