About The Position

ICON is seeking an Applications Testing Coordinator to keep our testing operation running on schedule and in conformance with the approved test plan across many concurrent tests using our large-scale robotic printing platforms. Working within our Testing organization, you will turn approved test plans from our building products & systems, material science, design-build, and product engineering teams into scheduled, resourced, well-documented execution - sequencing prints, coordinating the tools, materials, supplies, and articles each test requires, capturing the resulting data, and facilitating the safe and reliable lifting and shipping of finished specimens out to labs and job sites. You are the hands-on, operational backbone that ensures tests are executed with technical rigor and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Three or more years of coordination, planning, logistics, or technical-operations experience in a manufacturing, construction, fabrication, testing, or field-operations environment.
• Demonstrated experience in reading and following construction or product drawings and specifications (rebar diagrams, machine assemblies, etc).
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple concurrent activities and stakeholders while keeping detailed, accurate records.
• Comfort working with tools (drills, saws, hammers, etc.) to execute non-print activities, providing the necessary leadership and construction-task experience on the slab.
• Proficiency with ticketing and documentation software (for example, Jira, Confluence, or Procore), standard productivity tool, and comfort working with custom ICON software. Comfort organizing data and building spreadsheets or dashboards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear documentation, schedules, and status reporting.
• Comfort working on an active test or production floor and coordinating hands-on activities involving materials, specimens, lifting, and shipping.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or relevant technical training is welcomed. ICON favors demonstrated capability over credential accumulation.

Nice To Haves

• Experienced construction foreman, Construction Manager (CM), lab coordinator, or equivalent field-operations lead with a strong background in technical coordination.
• Experience coordinating test campaigns, construction mockups, or research and development builds.
• Experience with concrete construction, including the ability to read and interpret rebar Bill of Materials (BOMs) and complex shop drawings
• Familiarity with concrete quality-control sampling (cylinders, slump, flow) and material or specimen traceability.
• Familiarity with 3D printing, rapid fabrication, or construction methods.
• Procurement or vendor-coordination experience, especially with structural steel or specialty construction supplies.
• Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery - such as forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts, and related material-handling equipment - to safely transport, maneuver, load, and position heavy test specimens, raw materials, and machinery components across the test site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate test execution across the project and technology teams. Receive and vet incoming test requests to ensure they are complete and constructible. Collaborate with key stakeholders to align on direction, and secure formal approval from the Testing organization before moving to scheduling and resource allocation.
• Schedule and sequence test prints. Drive tactical print scheduling and sequencing across Vulcan and Titan printers against print-window, crew, and material availability; coordinate test starts; and maintain the daily picture of what is running where and what is holding each test up.
• Manage materials-list requests, procurement, follow-up, and inventory tracking. Procure and track the materials needed for each test article and its consumables, and drive procurement of special items - structural steel, reinforcement, and other supplies - so materials are on hand before a test consumes a print window.
• Coordinate non-print test activities. Ensure operational excellence outside of direct print execution, including coordinating with test operations vendors, managing supply chain streams, tracking specimen and site cleanup, and scheduling heavy equipment or site services.
• Facilitate and confirm print readiness. Support print preparation and participate in print-path review, reinforcement and test-article readiness, and confirmation that materials, tooling, instrumentation, and crew will be ready and staged before each test starts.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation and records. Develop and coordinate workflows to capture and organize quality-control data (cylinders, slump, flow, batch-plant results), print observations, and visual records. Oversee test-print quality control, ensure test plans and results remain linked and traceable, and implement systems to tie daily shift reports to final test reports and machine telemetry.
• Coordinate and oversee packaging, lifting, and shipping of test articles. Coordinate and oversee specimen and article packaging based on test plans. Oversee lifting of finished test articles alongside shift leadership, and coordinate shipping of specimens and articles to labs, job sites, and partners.
• Keep every test moving. Maintain accurate intake, planning, execution, and completion status for each test; assign and follow up on owners; and chase the material approvals, engineering, software, and field inputs a test is waiting on, escalating promptly when something threatens a scheduled window.
