About The Position

The Applications Technologist I position supports the development of a wide variety of beverage products. This role offers the opportunity to join Synergy Flavors, a leading international supplier of flavor and ingredients to the global food and beverage industry. You will work with a team of technologists who have developed market-leading beverage products. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Food Science or other applied science.
0-3 years of application lab experience in beverage product development.
Ability to work accurately, quickly and with good laboratory practices across multiple projects within the day/week.
Good documentation skills.
Adept at working within programs such as Excel, Word & assorted databases.
Positive attitude, team player, engaging and able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively.

Responsibilities

Optimize beverage based formulations with understanding of processing parameters.
Screen flavors in various beverage bases.
Complete selection and resample projects in a timely manner.
Participate in routine taste panels to understand flavor language.
Work collaboratively with sales and marketing presentations and demos for customers.
Utilize flavor knowledge to select best flavor for each application and work closely with flavor creation team to optimize flavors when needed.
Provide technical support on customer calls.
Perform routine processing of batches (carbonation, analytical tests, etc.).
Write basic production formulas with guidance of Senior Applications Technologist.
Make minor revisions to existing formulas under direct supervision.
