North Carolina Secretary of State is seeking an experienced ASP.NET Core MVC Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications that support business operations and organizational objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional development team to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver software that meets functional and performance expectations.
Requirements
- Extensive work experience with client/server applications development software including; C#, Asp.Net Core MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5 JavaScript, jQuery, developing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Knowledge and experience with modern Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)methodology/platform such as Azure DevOps and/or Git.
- Experience with Agile processes and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate effectively in oral and written form with employees in the department and customers.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- At least 5 years work history showing Web development experience using C#, Asp.Net Core MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, developing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience developing and supporting workflow software supporting financial and business-oriented processes.
