About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Application Systems Administrator to join their team and play a critical role in managing hybrid cloud and client/server-based systems. This role directly supports the performance, security, and reliability of the program’s business systems, ensuring seamless operations and scalability. As an Application Systems Administrator, you will address server-related issues for COTS applications, collaborate on system build & configuration, and support end users who rely on business systems. Success in this position requires technical expertise in system operations, the applications software development lifecycle, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize client/server-based and hybrid cloud-based and business application systems.
  • Identify and resolve application-related issues while working closely with functional teams and/or vendor support to address system issues and vulnerability response.
  • Assist in the Jira Service Management platform administration and JIRA backend/process development/improvement.
  • SQL Server Administration and database operations.
  • Assist in SharePoint Administration activities to include both front and back-end administration.
  • Provide technical support to end users, ensuring they can access and utilize business systems effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and guiding peer system administrators.
  • Use incident management best practices to address system-level issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills coupled with excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
