The Applications System Administrator Senior will be responsible for designing, configuring, installing, and supporting complex clinical device or other ancillary device integration solutions. This role involves assisting with conversion and operational support planning, managing system and application software installations and upgrades, and ensuring adherence to change management processes. The administrator will identify how requirements and designs affect multiple application areas, recommend solutions, and act independently to understand client business requirements and offer effective alternatives. Responsibilities also include developing workstation and server administration procedures, designing backup and recovery procedures, assisting in disaster recovery and business continuance planning, ensuring capacity monitoring processes are followed, and monitoring/tuning systems for optimal performance. The role involves solving complex application software problems, performing root-cause analysis, acting as an escalation point with vendors and staff, prioritizing problems, creating tasks and work estimates, directing resources, monitoring tasks, and communicating project status to clients. Additionally, the administrator will analyze business requirements, create technical requirements, review capital expenditure requests, evaluate software products, design and maintain complex application support software, and make modifications to purchased applications. Collaboration with vendors is key to resolving problems and managing escalations.
