Southern Company is undertaking the ASCEND program to modernize its energy services, focusing on enhancing customer experience and adapting to industry changes through technology. This initiative includes replacing key systems like meter data management (MDM) and customer service systems (CSS) with Oracle's Customer Information System (CIS) called Customer to Meter (C2M). It also involves implementing an advanced analytics platform, a customer experience (CX) platform, and a commercial engagement platform (CEP). This new platform will be rolled out in phases to Alabama Power, Georgia Power, and Mississippi Power. An ASCEND organization is being established to drive this transformation, aiming for a modernized, efficient, and digital customer experience with personalized engagement. This role is part of the CIS/MDM Program Team, and the successful candidate will remain an employee of their operating company while reporting to the program team. Positions are filled based on job requirements, business needs, and project scope. While the roles are expected to be hybrid, approximately 25% travel is anticipated, and it is preferred that resources are located within the electric service territory. The location for this position is flexible between Atlanta, Birmingham, and Gulfport. The primary responsibility of the OIC Solution Analyst is to collaborate with OIC and OCI Platform Architects and Engineers, Security Architects, and Customer Experience (CX) application teams to define technical requirements for the OIC design and implementation of CX solutions. This role will also integrate Southern Company processes and standards into Cloud platform environments and drive the design and implementation of Oracle Integration Cloud solutions.
