We are seeking a motivated and people-focused Applications Manager to lead and support a team of Applications Engineers in a dynamic HVAC manufacturing environment that focuses on both mechanical equipment and HVAC controls. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership, requiring someone who is passionate about developing others, building a strong team culture, and delivering excellent support. You’ll guide a team handling both pre-sale activities and post-sale troubleshooting, startup, and training, while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience with established leadership skills working with or within an engineering team
  • A genuine interest in working with customers, contractors, technicians, and sales representatives, building strong and lasting relationships
  • Confidence in navigating challenging conversations and resolving issues with professionalism and clarity
  • A passion for representing the company, acting as a strong ambassador of the brand in every interaction
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to enhance processes, tools, and team effectiveness

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Applications Engineers to ensure strong technical competency and responsiveness
  • Coach the team on how to navigate challenging customer situations, balancing technical accuracy with strong communication and professionalism
  • Continuously reinforce a culture where the team takes ownership of customer outcomes, not just technical tasks
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality technical guidance is delivered across all customer interactions
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls systems, and accessories.
  • Participate in and support on-site visits for complex issues or critical project stages
  • Lead or support difficult technical conversations with customers, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and effectively
  • Ensure proper training on startup and configuration software, enabling successful system commissioning
  • Continuously improving training materials and delivery methods
  • Establish, manage, and continuously improve team workflows and support processes
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce response times, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Align applications processes with broader company systems and tools
  • Provide feedback from the field to help influence product improvements and innovation
  • Support various Antec Controls departments with product development and customer service
