About The Position

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of performing engineering runs and trials on customer parts. The technician will explore and integrate new mask materials, tooling, and unique processing techniques to ensure successful mask/demask operations. Key responsibilities include creating technician-based tutorials and process instructions, potentially traveling to other SCS locations for training and process transfers, and facilitating the creation and management of standard tool and material lists, process techniques, and guidelines. The position also involves performing failure and problem analysis, formulating solutions, assisting other engineers with special projects, managing special projects and investigations, and creating reports. The technician will adhere to safety policies and operate enhanced toolsets such as Lasers and Auto-maskers. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs, and the role includes approving Certificates of Compliance. The position also provides leadership to production operators, fosters a learning culture, demonstrates professionalism and self-accountability, manages projects with minimal oversight, assists with cost savings programs, and supports production in meeting deadlines.

Requirements

High School diploma is required with 2+ year's of related work experience, or One year certificate from college or technical school with no work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to use precision measuring and laboratory instruments, such as calipers, scales, micrometers, profilometer or similar test/inspection equipment.
Ability to interact closely with other departments to support customer focus and efficient operations.
Demonstrated capacity to work with Microsoft Office Products, Lotus Notes, and other critical computer applications.
Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
Ability to speak, read and write English.
Is well-organized and detail oriented.
Ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

Creates Technician based tutorials for customer products, and instructions for general or critical process methods.
May travel to other SCS locations to assist in employee training and support process transfers.
Facilitates the creation of and management of standard tool and material lists, process techniques and guidelines, for use in supporting consistent processing and operator skills.
Performs failure and problem analysis, formulates solutions to specific and systematic challenges or problems.
Assists other engineers with special projects requiring masking and demasking knowledge.
Manages special projects, tests, evaluations, and investigations as needed.
Creates reports and summaries of the work.
Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
Understands and operates enhanced tool set such as Lasers, Auto-masker, and various other types of support equipment required to facilitate advanced processes.
May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
Approves Certificates of Compliance.
Provides leadership to production operators and identifies with a learning and teaching culture.
Identifies with professionalism and self-accountability.
Able to manage projects and assigned work with little to no oversight.
Assists with cost savings programs.
