About The Position

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our team in the development, release, and support of KLA’s Film/OCD Metrology products. This role is critical to advancing our technology and solving complex customer challenges through deep technical understanding and innovative problem-solving.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Working towards a college degree

Nice To Haves

Experience in semiconductor metrology or related technologies.
Familiarity with thin film/OCD characterization techniques.
Prior experience working with customers or in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and release of advanced Film/OCD Metrology products.
Develop a deep understanding of customer applications and use cases.
Translate customer challenges into actionable problem statements.
Design and execute data collection plans to support product development and troubleshooting.
Analyze data and recommend corrective actions or design improvements.
Communicate effectively through oral presentations, written reports, meeting minutes, and project summaries.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, applications, and customer support teams.
