About The Position
onsemi’s Power Management Division (PMD) is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern for the PMIC & POL business unit in San Jose, California. The internship provides hands-on industry experience and involvement in new product development and technical customer support. The intern will work alongside Applications Engineers specializing in DC-DC converter applications.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Have completed power-electronics-focused classes.
- Have experience working on electronic systems using standard laboratory equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of simulation tools, especially SIMPLIS.
Responsibilities
- Validate DC-DC (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost) and PMIC datasheet parameters using laboratory bench equipment.
- Correlate bench validation results with simulation.
- Work with Product Definition, Design, Test, and Product Engineers to solve complex issues.
