About The Position

The Applications Engineer II position is a critical part of the technical support that Mini-Circuits provides. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to work with peers to gather and present data to customers, provide recommendations on which part is most efficient in the customer's design and help debug any questions they have. This position will attend technical design reviews on custom and catalog parts and learn how Mini-Circuits achieves quality and speed at an affordable price. The Applications Engineer II will also actively participate in customer meetings and calls and work alongside the quality, marketing, and production team to support customers. The person in this role is known to obsess with supporting customers, for an eagerness to close on new opportunities, and an attitude that aligns with Mini-Circuits' guiding principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering + 3 years of experience in Applications Engineering OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering + 1 year of experience in Applications Engineering.
  • Ability to read, write, and orally communicate in English.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the Ishihara test for color blindness.
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Use of Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS).
  • Use of RF test equipment.
  • Designed and supported RF components such as transformers, splitters, couplers, bias-tees, and mixers.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customers’ technical questions regarding Mini-Circuits products.
  • Provide preliminary evaluation of customers’ requests for new products and work with marketing and engineering to satisfy customer’s needs.
  • Visit customers to promote new products and discuss technical issues.
  • Coordinate opportunities with sales reps and customers.
  • Assist in defining and implementing department goals.
  • Collaborate in preparation of application notes.
  • Review technical documents in support of other mini-circuits departments.
  • Assists in training new department members.
  • Prepare spec sheets and technical documents for new and revised special models.
  • Review and approve sample data.
  • Train new members on department documents
  • Any other job-related task as assigned by the manager.
  • To work in accordance with all company procedures.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
