About The Position

This position is for applicants with work authorization in Switzerland or the United States. At AVIAN, our mission is clear: we stop fires before they start. Our infrared camera systems and AI-driven monitoring help industrial companies detect abnormal heat early, prevent fire risk, protect assets, and avoid costly downtime. We have reached product-market fit. We have the product, the proof, and strong customer demand. Now we need to scale the technology behind it. Your goals will be to help us build out new monitoring applications using computer vision. We are developing brand new technologies for infrared cameras on the cutting edge of machine learning and computer vision. The main difference - We build things that matter. This is not another SaaS job. You will be visiting clients on-site, working closely with their teams and building products to strict specifications. You will be joining a team of expert computer vision practitioners that have harnessed their skills through years of field and academic work. Our team members have been published in top robotics and AI journals globally.

Requirements

• Work authorization in Switzerland or the United States.
• Deep expertise in computer vision, both classical and AI approaches.
• Comfortable taking algorithms from the lab to deployment on edge devices.
• Comfortable with model acceleration, pruning, and evaluation techniques.
• Comfortable interfacing with customers and translating their needs into code.
• Hardware experience with various types of camera sensors across the electromagnetic spectrum.
• Mastery of English.
• Linux and embedded systems expertise, including hardware interfaces and real-time deployment constraints.

Responsibilities

• Build out new monitoring applications using computer vision.
• Develop brand new technologies for infrared cameras on the cutting edge of machine learning and computer vision.
