About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Manager for its Irving, Texas location. This role involves designing and implementing advanced Generative AI (GENAI) strategies and solution architectures, integrating traditional software engineering with AI-augmented development. The manager will build enterprise technology solutions using GenAI stacks like RAG, agentic design, A2A orchestration, and MCP-based ecosystems. Responsibilities include AI-assisted generation of application blueprints, code frameworks, and UI implementations, as well as designing and documenting AI models, managing their governance and MRM documentation, and ensuring compliance for GenAI platforms. The role also requires designing and building scalable data pipelines using technologies like Apache Iceberg, Starburst, Apache Spark, and vector databases, and architecting CI/CD pipelines with containerization and Kubernetes. Developing interactive dashboards and data visualizations to present insights, implementing secure AI orchestration workflows using Lang Graph, and developing rapid proofs-of-concept (POCs) are also key duties. The Senior Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI engineering projects, including scoping, technical planning, resource allocation, and production deployment of GenAI solutions. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience as an Applications Development Manager, Data Scientist, Software Engineer or related position querying and analyzing data in order to develop banking solutions.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the listed fields and 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the listed positions.
• Full span of experience must include: Data Architecture, Pipeline Engineering, and Infrastructure Operations; Analytics Visualization and Communication; Model Risk Management and Compliance; Project Management for enterprise-level IT initiatives; Natural Language Processing; SQL, PyTorch/TensorFlow Distributed, REST APIs, Angular-based UI, Python, Angular; Statistical validation to assess model performance; Modern distributed computing frameworks and cloud services, building scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced Generative AI (GENAI) strategies and solution architectures integrating traditional software engineering practices with AI augmented development workflows.
• Build enterprise technology solutions using advanced GenAI technology stacks including RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures, agentic design, A2A (Agent to Agent) orchestration, MCP (Model Context Protocol) – based ecosystems, AI assisted generation of application blueprints, initial code frameworks, and wireframe/UI implementations.
• Design and document AI models, detailing their underlying methodologies, data sources, assumptions, and limitations; manage the governance and maintenance of AI models through Model Risk Management (MRM) documentation; and provide compliance oversight for GenAI platforms, models, and agentic systems.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines using apache Iceberg starburst, apache spark and vector databases to process large-scale structured and unstructured data for GENAI systems.
• Architect and implement CI/ CD pipelines, manage containerization and Kubernetes deployments, and establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations to translate analytical findings into actionable business insights for executive decision-making and presentations.
• Implement secure AI orchestration workflows using Lang Graph to manage complex reasoning chains and ensure secure data access for Large Language Models.
• Develop rapid proofs-of-concept (POCs) to demonstrate value, engage stakeholders, and secure business approval for innovative AI solutions.
• Manage end to end delivery of AI engineering projects, overseeing scoping, technical planning, resource allocation, and production deployment of GenAI solutions.
