About The Position

H2K is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring an Applications Developer for an exciting opportunity.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing operating systems and vendor-supplied software components to maintain system stability, performance, and reliability.
  • Ability to diagnose, research, and resolve complex technical issues involving operating systems, system software, hardware interactions, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Understanding of scripting, automation, and software development practices used to create, modify, and maintain system-level solutions based on technical and operational requirements.
  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces, peripheral devices, device drivers, and software compatibility testing, including evaluating and validating new operating system releases.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, system hardening, access controls, vulnerability management, and measures that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Java, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization of enterprise applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Two (2) years experience
  • Public Trust Clearance

  • Maintaining and optimizing systems software by installing, updating, and enhancing vendor-supplied components to ensure peak performance and reliability.

  • Collaborating in the planning and implementation of hardware interfaces and peripheral devices.
  • Analyzing software specifications for compatibility and completeness.
  • Safeguarding the security, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
