About The Position

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking an Applications Developer to support the day-to-day IT systems for a customized network solution in support of the federal government. This role is a key member of the Applications Development team, responsible for implementing the ServiceNow application, including the ServiceNow IT Service Management suite and the platform. The developer will collaborate with team members, partners/vendors, and Senior Leadership to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and administration of the ServiceNow solution. Responsibilities include the technical aspects of ServiceNow implementation such as solution architecture, installation, application UI, process automation, external integrations, access control, security hardening, workflow design/configuration, reporting, upgrades, and patching. The role also involves providing ServiceNow-focused consultation and technical leadership, supporting Technical Exchange Meetings, contributing to user-facing documents, and maintaining ServiceNow applications.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience as a Developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, a developer nanodegree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT, Level 2 (Security+).
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix System Administration.
  • Experience in managing a Self-Hosted ServiceNow instance and upgrading ServiceNow Core applications.
  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Understand ITIL/ITSM processes.
  • Understand HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in the support and development of ServiceNow, Splunk, Nlyte, VMware, Ansible, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, programming, testing, and debugging ServiceNow and applicable scripts.
  • Performing capacity planning, system tuning, problem analysis, and hardware/software upgrades.
  • Developing administrative policies, documentation, and procedures for ServiceNow maintenance and operation.
  • Performing testing and establishing system acceptance criteria for new or current hardware and software.
  • Building service requests from customer requirements, request items, and tasks.
  • Determining training needs and developing ServiceNow-based guidelines tailored to the work environment.
  • Building client profiles and system configurations for software distribution equipment.
  • Responding to system alerts and engaging in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Using workflows to manage data flows from customers to support teams.
  • Using scripting tools to process automation and perform integration.
  • Importing and exporting data across various enterprise applications.
  • Performing system and integration testing with sample and live data.
  • Monitoring the health and status of ServiceNow and applicable scripts.
  • Working with IT managers to generate views and reports as needed.
  • Analyzing user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities.
  • Installing software releases and maintaining data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Consulting with clients, hardware and software vendors, users, system administrators, and engineers.
  • Providing technical support for development, test, and production environments.
  • Performing integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration.
  • Assessing existing ServiceNow usage and recommending forward evolution to maximize efficiencies.
