About The Position

The Associate Applications Developer assists with custom application development, maintenance, and support for Information Services. The role is suited to someone who works well in a fast-paced setting and has Snowflake expertise. It involves data engineering and modeling, developing data pipelines and cloud data solutions, and working with business stakeholders to define data entities, relationships, metrics, and data product requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a software developer or software engineer.
• Strong experience in data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, access controls, and scalable warehouse/lake house patterns.
• Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of ontology, semantic modeling, taxonomies, business glossaries, or knowledge graph concepts.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another data engineering language.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Snowflake knowledge or experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building governed data products for analytics, AI, or application use cases.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows for data pipelines.
• Experience working in complex enterprise data environments with multiple systems, domains, and stakeholder groups.
