About The Position

As an Applications Delivery Network Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the customer’s mission. You will play a crucial role in delivering advanced solutions and strategic insight to optimize the customers’ enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application delivery and network administration.
  • Comprehensive experience in administering, configuring, and maintaining application delivery network (ADN) systems and technologies.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS) essential for application delivery, load balancing mechanisms, and adherence to security best practices in system administration.
  • Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret and SCI eligible
  • Location: Onsite
  • Required: DoD 8140 IAT II compliant

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., F5 Certified Tech Expert/Specialist, Citrix Certified Associate/Professional in AppsDS, Citrix NetScaler, Azure/AWS Admin) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day system administration tasks to ensure the health, capacity, and reliability of application delivery network and load balancing systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to application delivery services or network configurations.
  • Assist with evaluating and recommending network optimization and application acceleration techniques to enhance system efficiency.
  • Support application delivery and load balancing systems in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based environments, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
  • Utilize advanced tools and analytics to identify and resolve system or network issues impacting application delivery performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows associated with application delivery system administration.
  • Employ automation and orchestration tools to streamline configuration management, monitoring, and maintenance tasks for application delivery systems.
