About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking an intern for its Supervision & Regulation program. The intern will support analysis and reviews related to financial institution applications and enforcement actions. Interns must be U.S. citizens and pass enhanced background screening before hire. The internship is paid, lasts 10–12 weeks during the summer, and requires a 40-hour work week. Summer housing is not provided.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor’s or graduate degree program throughout the internship.
Have a cumulative GPA above 3.0 in an academically rigorous curriculum.
Be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10–12 weeks during the summer.
Be a United States citizen and pass enhanced background screening before hire.
Be currently authorized to work in the United States without needing visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have strong analytical skills.
Be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Be comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

Preferred majors: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

Help conduct competitive analysis and bank market reviews.
Help complete financial analysis of applications.
Conduct internal quality assurance reviews for Applications and Enforcement.
Conduct IAP investigations.
Review compliance and progress reports from financial institutions under enforcement action.
