About The Position

The Applications Analyst provides analysis and technical support, and maintenance of the software used to support clinical and business processes. The individual is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing solutions to those needs while adhering to and maintaining best practice, organizational and regulatory standards as determined by IT and Organizational Leadership. The Applications Analyst will develop a clear understanding of the software and tools used to meet the needs of the end user following developed standards. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors and internal IT staff supporting business/clinical processes and facilitating cohesive integration of software applications with business and clinical operations. This Application Analyst role includes a subspecialty in designing and delivering training documentation for software used in business and clinical processes. This includes business and clinical analysis, training materials, user guides, building, testing, and maintaining training environments. IT Care Team Experience and Practice primarily supports Epic modules and FHIR integrated applications used in ambulatory/outpatient clinical spaces including but not limited to EpicCare Ambulatory, Healthy Planet/Compass Rose, Bones, Kaleidoscope, Beans, and Haiku/Canto. The Applications Analyst is required to provide on-call support coverage (24 hours per day, 7 days per week) on a rotating basis. This role is primarily remote with quarterly on-site meetings and the ability to periodically perform on-site testing and training. External candidates should reside in the UVM Health service area of Vermont or Northern New York. The Applications Analyst job profile includes multiple levels: I, II, III, IV. Requirements

• Proficiency in using Microsoft software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
• EpicCare Ambulatory certification is required within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, education, communication, a clinical certification, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Clinical and/or training experience strongly preferred.
