Application Validation Engineer
About The Position
Supermicro is looking for an Application Validation Engineer to take ownership in motherboard, server system, and other server component testing. The individual will work with cross-functional engineering teams to fix quality issues and ensure the products meet engineering and customer specifications, support Research and Development engineering and pre-and-post product release activities, such as white-box design verification, BIOS/IPMI testing on the board products, as well as on the system level, black-box testing. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems and solid working knowledge in hardware validation testing.
Requirements
- Perform motherboard, server system, and other server component validation testing
- Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
- Document and analyze test data
- Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
- Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
- Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation
- Provide Linux kernel, driver and application analysis and support
- Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
- In-depth knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems
