The Application Support Specialist coordinates the activities related to the installation, implementation and tech support of any Risk Management information systems. Is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting and resolving potential hardware and software related issues. Utilizes initiative, independent judgment, and in-depth knowledge of hardware, Microsoft Operating System and general IS processes as well as IS networking, desktop help desk services and general programming. Maintains an understanding of internal business processes. Maintains and supports select applications. Participates in tasks as assigned. Under general supervision, has responsibility for defining application requirements and specifications for large to medium-sized projects. Submits status reports as required. Performs other duties as needed.
