About The Position

As a member of the IT Team at OnLogic, you are responsible for providing technical support for our core business applications, and maintaining and enhancing our facilities automation services. In this role you will improve our services and provide primary technical support to end users on various issues and problems relating to our internal applications. We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, VT office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field), or comparable job-related experience and training.
  • Competency in SQL (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) including database and query optimization.
  • Competency in Python, with a basic understanding of software best practices.
  • Experience in Internet of Things protocols like MQTT, Zigbee, and BLE, preferably as they are utilized in a Home Assistant implementation.
  • Experience in Facility Automation concepts, such as surveillance, energy savings, A/V, lighting, and climate control.
  • Experience with Physical Access Control Systems.
  • A basic understanding of CSS/HTML/XML/JSON.
  • A people-person and a problem solver.
  • Energized by being the first person to dig into an application issue.
  • An eager learner to become an expert in our core business IT systems.
  • A solution-driver for both technical and non--technical end users.

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our global Facility Automation services and Physical Access Control System (PACS).
  • Triaging and resolving incoming support requests related to our ERP, CRM, or eCommerce site.
  • Developing and running business reports.
  • Developing knowledge of the OnLogic products and internal processes.
  • Writing effective documentation and training support for systems.
