For more information, visit www.yesway.com . Position Responsibilities: Handle tickets and work with store team members to resolve their issues quickly. Provide support to our current Verifone Point of Sale environment. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability of the Point of Sale environment. Develop interfaces for current and new systems utilizing PowerShell and SQL (FTP, data handling between Yesway and third parties). Provide advanced tier two support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Troubleshoot store applications (e.g., customer rewards), monitor resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning of related systems; other duties as assigned. Use independent judgment, creative thinking, and analytical problem-solving to solve business problems and improve processes involving SQL, PowerShell, and other systems, SSMS, Visual Studio, Git Extensions, Putty/Pageant/PuttyGen (should be on Win 11), Visual Studio Code, Postman, Putty, VIM, C#, .Net. Work with TLOG or general log data and be comfortable with manipulation of that data. Provide on-call support as needed and handle escalations from Tier I service desk. Understand general configuration changes and be comfortable making changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MIS.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in large organizations in a support role.
  • Successful candidate likely would have been part of a tier two support organization and comfortable working between tier one and tier three.
  • Requires 5 years’ experience with SQL, retail Point of Sale systems, and .NET.
  • Experience in C-Stores or retail is required.
  • Fuel dispenser understanding is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience as a technical support / application engineer.
  • Successful candidate must be comfortable with writing scripts to push into production or out to stores/POS systems following defined change control processes.
  • Previous role as a tier II tech or applications support with understanding of ERP and data flows and be capable of troubleshooting various failure points along the way.
  • Must be able to solve complex and cross-functional problems.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must be familiar with a ticketing system such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • Must have previous POS experience.
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience writing technical documents, software design documentation, and maintenance.
  • Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools.

Nice To Haves

  • A proven understanding of database and analysis tools such as SQL and Excel, including demonstrated analytical skills to solve business issues.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
