Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of work exp.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering Support is required.
  • High School Diplom/GED
  • Master proficiency in Engineering Support is required.
  • Mainframe application programming across Johnson Controls application suite with focused knowledge of CARMS Walker Interactive and ADMIN.
  • Mainframe core environment consists of Db2 CICS MQ
  • L2 L3 Break fix
  • Minor Enhancements
  • Service Requests
  • Problem Management as part of L3
  • Daily system integrity verification cash feed reconciliation and interface feed checks
  • Report distribution and adhoc reporting
  • Programming language proficiency in IMS Db2 COBOL Java CICS MQ Assembler
  • Knowledge of CA7 REXX FTP SFTP

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a software detective providing a dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
  • Being a subject matter expert, collaborating and managing the team to perform effectively, taking responsibility for team decisions, engaging with multiple teams, and contributing to key decisions.
  • Providing solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
  • Analyzing complex software issues and developing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.
  • Leading collaborative efforts across teams to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents and minimize business impact.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring problems and proposing enhancements to processes and tools.
  • Providing expert guidance and knowledge sharing to support team members and fostering a culture of learning.
  • Contributing to the development and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures to elevate service quality.
  • Mainframe application programming across Johnson Controls application suite with focused knowledge of CARMS Walker Interactive and ADMIN.
  • Assisting with BRDs, RACF security, third-party software, tax calculation, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
