About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Americas BT & IT – Application Specialist – SAP COMMERCIAL to join our IT team in Calvert, North Mobile County, AL. The Application Specialist - SAP Commercial will play a key role in the company’s business transformation initiatives by partnering closely with cross-functional business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency. This role will leverage deep SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) expertise to design and implement enhancements, provide strategic guidance, and help drive scalable solutions that improve business performance in and user experience related to all Order-to-Cash (OTC) activities. The position will also support the organization’s SAP modernization roadmap, including Unicode conversion activities and migration from ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP SD configuration and support experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP SD processes including order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and customer master data.
- Experience supporting business transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience gathering and documenting functional business requirements.
- Experience creating functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
- Experience supporting SAP testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Ability to read and analyze ABAP code to support troubleshooting, testing, and enhancement activities.
- Experience working with SAP integrations and cross-functional business processes.
- Knowledge of SAP best practices and process optimization methodologies.
- Experience supporting or participating in SAP implementation or enhancement projects.
- Knowledge of SAP Unicode conversion processes and related impacts to business and system functionality.
- Experience participating in SAP upgrade, migration, or system conversion projects.
- Experience supporting testing and validation activities during SAP upgrades or migrations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA SD functionality and business process changes.
- SAP certification or S/4HANA experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
- Manage day-to-day support activities through ticketing (ServiceNOW)
- Support business transformation initiatives through SAP SD solutions.
- Configure and maintain SAP SD processes including order management, pricing, billing, and shipping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated business solutions.
- Analyze business processes and recommend SAP best practices.
- Gather and document functional business requirements.
- Serve as the SAP SD subject matter expert for business users.
- Support system testing, issue resolution, and deployment activities.
- Assist with user training and change management efforts.
- Coordinate with technical teams on enhancements and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate processes.
- Support ongoing SAP projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support SAP migration to S/4 HANA
