Pacific® Valves, an operating brand under CRANE ChemPharma & Energy, focuses on highly engineered valve solutions including Pressure Seal Gate, Globe, and Check valves, Hydrofluoric Alkylation Gate, Globe, and Check valves, and Wedge Plug valves, specifically for the Power Generation and Refining industries. The Applications Specialist for Pacific® Valves will be crucial in expanding the product portfolio's growth and market presence. This role involves identifying business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and supporting sales growth. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, technically proficient professional skilled in relationship building, product expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in related field preferably with industrial equipment for Power and Refining industry or more than 10 years of experience in similar position with knowledge of valves or other flow handling equipment in industrial applications.
  • Relevant experience in Industrial valve technologies, applications and specifications particularly in Power Generation and Refining sectors.
  • Ability to leverage technical expertise to connect with industry peers and customers.
  • Knowledge of Industry Specifications such as ASME B16.34, API, MSS etc. such as UOP, MVP etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert on Pacific Valves products including Pressure Seal valves by providing support to the internal teams, customers and channel partners.
  • Define focus applications together with the sales team by leveraging existing product offerings and collaborating with Engineering to propose suitable alternatives, when needed.
  • Manage and track the opportunity funnel using Salesforce, ensuring timely updates and driving opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure.
  • Assist Inside Sales team prepare bids for complex projects, ensuring specifications, exceptions, and pricing details are clearly defined and aligned with Business Line Manager guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to monitor the progress of special projects, ensuring customers receive timely and accurate updates from initiation through final deployment
  • Develop and deliver technical training presentations to sales representatives, distributors, and engineers, focusing on product applications, features, and competitive differentiators.
  • Assist the Business Line Manager in developing market forecasts, strategic and operational plans, and supports initiatives aimed at reducing product costs and improving profitability.
  • Support the New Product Development (NPD) team by capturing and communicating Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to help tailor product features and functionality to market needs.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and enhancing processes used by the team to increase efficiency, consistency, and overall performance.
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to engage with channel partners and customers, gathering feedback and market insights to inform product strategy and customer support initiatives.
