MSRC is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Power BI Specialist to join a diverse team and support data analysis, visualization, and reporting needs within the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC). The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models to aid in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Power BI Specialist.
• Proven experience with Power BI development and report creation.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, DAX functions, Power Query, and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, active clearance preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Army data systems and security requirements is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Data Services, SharePoint, or other BI tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to AvMC requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with team members, leads, and stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Create data models and perform data analysis to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Create reports (primarily using PowerPoint) to convey analysis to senior leaders.
• Monitor report performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy standards in all reporting activities.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
