About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist for one of our clients to support selected functions within HVDC in Västerås. In this role, you will apply IS application expertise across BUILD and RUN domains, working independently to deliver, maintain, and enhance BI solutions that support global business needs. You will take ownership of an existing portfolio of BI applications, drive continuous improvements, and develop new data-driven solutions based on evolving business requirements. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will proactively identify, propose, and implement effective BI solutions while handling complex data and system challenges.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• (or another IT degree with 15+ years of relevant experience)
• Extensive experience with: Power BI (DAX, Power Query M) Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven apps, Dataverse) SQL SharePoint
• Proven experience delivering business intelligence and data-driven solutions
• Experience working independently and owning solutions end-to-end
• Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory)
• Valid SSG-Entré certificate
• Availability to work onsite in Västerås at least 1 day per week

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Oracle Database, Oracle Primavera P6, or Databricks
• Swedish language skills
• Experience working in SAP-integrated environments
• Background in HVDC, energy, or industrial domains

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced BI solutions using Power BI (DAX, Power Query M)
• Build low-code applications using Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven apps, Dataverse)
• Own and manage an existing portfolio of BI solutions (development + maintenance)
• Act as a consultant and advisor to business stakeholders, translating requirements into scalable solutions
• Analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making
• Work within SAP-integrated environments, supporting data flows between SAP and BI solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored analytics and reporting solutions
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that create measurable business value
• Share knowledge, best practices, and guide colleagues on BI solution implementation and operation
