About The Position

The Application Software Engineering Architect provides organization-wide technical and architectural leadership for application software. The role sets application platform strategy and north-star architectures, ensuring long-term scalability, resilience, reliability, security, and compliance. It guides architectural modernization, API and ecosystem strategy, quality frameworks, engineering tooling, continuous verification, and multi-quarter or multi-year roadmaps. The architect steers software design, development, testing, optimization, and maintenance across products and services. This includes defining foundational code, improving software development lifecycle practices, setting standards for code health and maintainability, advancing testing and observability, resolving highly complex system and API issues, and guiding performance and scalability strategies. The role defines and approves scope and design recommendations, reviews adherence to architectural standards, and translates technology research into long-term organizational decisions. The position also serves as a trusted advisor to customers, stakeholders, engineering teams, and business leaders. It coordinates issue diagnosis and resolution, advocates for customer needs, promotes secure development practices, mentors senior technical staff, and supports organizational planning, collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement. It may oversee project timelines, deliverables, priorities, and budgets where applicable.
