About The Position

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking an Application Security Sr. Associate Analyst to join its Application Security team and help developers build secure software across the enterprise. This developer-enablement role is an entry point into a specialized application security career. The position calls for a high-level or technical degree and demonstrated understanding of application security concepts through education, internships, or relevant project work, along with a willingness to learn and build expertise. The analyst will help coordinate the team’s day-to-day priorities, track milestones and deadlines, provide visibility into delivery progress, and identify risks, dependencies, or potential delays for advance escalation. The role supports a broad range of application security functions, including static and composition analysis (SAST and SCA), cloud and container scanning, security-tool pipeline integration, OSINT, and DevSecOps automation. With guidance from senior analysts and stack owners, the analyst will document processes, assist developers, support the team’s workflows and reporting, and help develop training and automation that scale the team’s impact. The role also helps create developer training and secure-coding guidance, manage workflows and performance or risk indicators, communicate security-tool results, maintain vulnerability and remediation reporting, gather information from multiple sources, and use AI and automation tools to improve triage, reporting, and other repetitive work.
