About The Position

Join a forward-thinking security team as an Application Security Engineer and drive the protection of containerized environments in a dynamic enterprise setting. This is a high-impact, onsite position where you will directly influence the organization’s security posture, collaborating closely with developers to ensure robust, automated, and scalable security across critical applications. This contract offers hands-on exposure to cutting-edge container security tools and the opportunity for career growth in cloud-native and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with container security and deployment of at least one scanning tool: Wiz, Prisma, or Aqua Security
  • Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool integration
  • In-depth knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common vulnerabilities, especially OWASP Top 10
  • Demonstrated skill in vulnerability analysis, risk prioritization, and solving complex scanning issues
  • Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical consultation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to DevSecOps methodologies and security automation frameworks
  • Relevant certifications such as OSWE, GWAPT, CSSLP

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain leading container scanning solutions (Wiz, Prisma, or Aqua Security) to safeguard infrastructure
  • Analyze scan results, triage vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation actions based on risk assessment
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline security operations and enhance scanning capabilities
  • Work closely with development teams, providing expert guidance on remediation strategies and secure SDLC practices
  • Troubleshoot complex scanning issues, optimize tool configurations, and document findings in clear, actionable reports
  • Communicate technical findings effectively to stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
