About The Position

This role involves providing engineering support to sales engineers and customers, preparing technical documentation, and leading projects from inception to completion. The engineer will analyze pump designs and test results, troubleshoot product issues, develop selection tools for the sales team, and offer field service technical support. Additionally, the role includes evaluating competitor offerings and performing other assigned duties. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for engineering, capable of tackling complex challenges with persistence and original thinking. Excellent communication and independent problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders. Intermittent domestic and international travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ Years of application/project engineering experience.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Centrifugal pump experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industry specifications for pumps, piping, and valves preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Solidworks, CFD, and VB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support, clarification, and technical documentation to sales engineers and customers for orders and projects.
• Prepare and review technical documents such as ITP, pump test reports, and specifications.
• Lead projects and special orders from the beginning to completion.
• Review and analyze pump design and test results to support product improvement.
• Lead product troubleshooting for testing, manufacturing, and field service.
• Develop pump selection spreadsheets and support pump selection software for the sales team.
• Provide field service technical support.
• Support Marketing in the evaluation of competitor offerings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
