About The Position

Our Client is a Global Financial Services firm located in New York City. The Trade Routing Applications (TRA) team builds and manages messaging middleware and plants to distribute the trading messages from the trading flows to various downstream systems. We are looking for an Integration/Automation Engineer to integrate system components, develop automated regression test suites and other tooling to facilitate migration of applications to cloud in the firms Equities Middle Office infrastructure. The candidate will be dedicated to provide trade routing application integration to support new business expansions as well as building the next generation technologies platform contributing to the global strategic architecture. He/she will have exposure to the broad set of businesses conducted at the firm including sales and trading, wealth management and fixed income among others.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Linux/Unix, including shell scripting and process management
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python ideally)
• Comfortable working with configuration files in XML and YAML
• Good analytical and problem solving skills that are coupled with strong communication
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with other programming languages such as C++/Java
• Knowledge of Finance
• Experience working with colleagues in remote locations
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka
