About The Position

This is an Application Engineering Co-op position for Spring/Summer 2027. During the co-op, students will conduct various engineering projects in one or more areas of Engineering, gain exposure to and learn various aspects of Engineering practices, and participate in summer Career Readiness programming which provides professional development and networking opportunities to equip them with the skill sets required to successfully transition from college to career. The co-op will be full-time, 40 hours per week, from January to August 2027.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior undergraduate student in the areas of mechanical or industrial engineering

Responsibilities

• Support centrifugal pump selection and assist with proposal generation
• Review and interpret customer specifications
• Develop understanding of pump mechanics and overall pump operation
• Participate in special projects focused on process improvements
• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes related to pump production
• Complete training in Pump Fundamentals (Pumps 101)
• Learn to read and interpret pump curves
• Build knowledge of pump anatomy and common pump symptoms
• Develop understanding of pump hydraulics and system curves
