About The Position

You will join the FAE (Field Application Engineer) team in Santa Clara, California (USA) for a period of 18 months, which will allow you to gain experience with hardware and embedded code development for the STM32 microcontroller family. Responsibilities include working with the local FAE and marketing teams to provide technical support to customers on general-purpose microcontroller products.

Requirements

• Experience that includes microcontroller hardware, firmware, and development environment
• Code development and debugging skills in assembly and embedded C
• Hardware troubleshooting skills using an oscilloscope, logic analyzers, and signal generators
• Experience with microcontroller peripherals such as USART, SPI and I2C in addition to analog peripherals that include ADC and DAC
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in technical English

Responsibilities

• Supporting/assisting customers in a technical capacity in using our microcontrollers either directly or indirectly (through an FAE)
• Modifying or developing example code for demonstration of STM32 features
• Assisting customers by evaluating their application and suggesting improvements utilizing gained knowledge of our microcontrollers
• Assisting customers in resolving hardware and/or debugging software issues on their boards
• Helping customers with using ST’s various application development tools
• Providing technical presentations and training on microcontroller products
• Attending in-house technical sessions and self-studying of the various microcontroller products and technologies
