About The Position

The Application Engineer supports the Engineering and Sales teams by managing technical documentation, maintaining engineering data, and assisting with customer-specific technical requirements. This role also works cross-functionally with operations and manufacturing teams to support product development, technical inquiries, and documentation processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate technical data management, efficient workflow coordination, and timely support for customer and internal engineering requests.

Requirements

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering
  • Rich experience designing RF components, especially power amplifiers, synthesizers and related circuitry
  • Good knowledge of EM theory
  • Design Experience for RF circuits for frequencies above 10GHz
  • Hands-on experience with schematic capture & PCB layout
  • Hands-on experience building, integrating, and troubleshooting circuits
  • Hands-on experience testing RF circuits and components
  • Experience designing waveguide components and analog and digital circuitry
  • Experience designing for manufacturability
  • Thorough understanding of RF assembly processes
  • Experience with the following software: ADS, EMPro, HFSS, Altium, Waspnet
  • Applicants must hold either a Canadian citizenship, Canadian Permanent Residency, or Work/ Study Permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile and Solid Works considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain part numbers and associated data within engineering systems
  • Develop and maintain marketing datasheets for custom and standard parts
  • Maintain and organize custom part databases for Pre-Sales engineering
  • Support Pre-Sales engineering requests and customer technical inquiries
  • Assist engineering teams with sourcing and evaluating components
  • Create technical diagrams, documentation, and workflow processes
  • Support engineering documentation including specifications and product data
  • Maintain documentation within PLM, CRM, and ERP systems
  • Support Salesforce, Power BI, and related business systems
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication between Sales, Engineering, and Operations
  • Assist with engineering change documentation and product lifecycle management
  • Support technical documentation for product releases and customer deliverables
  • Track and manage engineering administrative tasks and project documentation
  • Maintain quality documentation and records management
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support engineering and sales workflow coordination
  • Participate in product and process documentation improvements
  • Maintain data accuracy and system integrity
  • Other duties as assigned
