About The Position

Join Schneider Electric as an Application Engineer – Protection, Controls & Automation. This U.S. based role involves designing, configuring, testing, and executing advanced PCA solutions tailored to customer needs. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams, while promoting Schneider Electric’s Safety-First culture. The Protection, Controls & Automation (PCA) group within Digital Power is at the forefront of engineering innovation, designing cutting-edge solutions for electrical substations, data centers, oil & gas, and distribution networks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of power systems and protection schemes.
  • Advanced knowledge of protection relays and relay-based ATO schemes.
  • Advanced knowledge of testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
  • Proficiency in communication protocols: Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
  • Experience executing complex relay-based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
