About The Position

As a Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of hardware through trainings, product demonstrations, and the design, debug, test, and quality support of customer products. Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the potential application of company products that meet and exceed customer needs. As an Qualcomm Mixed-Signal IP Application Engineer, you are responsible for working in the post-silicon application team to bring-up UCIe IP on SoCs for internal product teams and external customers. In this role, you will interact with the internal product teams and customers to support their integration, validation, and bring-up of the UCIe IP in advanced technology nodes such as 7nm, 5nm, 3nm and 2nm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
  • Solid debugging skills for firmware and system-level bring-up.
  • Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Experience in Python as a scripting language for test automation and debugging.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Experience working in ASIC design, verification, or post-silicon validation in one of the high-speed IP interfaces such as UCIe, DDR, PCIe, or Ethernet

Responsibilities

  • Be part of growing team to work closely with Post-Silicon Validation, Firmware, System, and Design teams to bring-up Alphawave Mixed-Signal IPs on customer platforms.
  • Be involved in the post-silicon bring-up of our in-house test chips.
  • Drive technical communication to customers from silicon bring-up to production.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware designers, validation and software teams to define and implement robust solutions.
  • Work on system-level debugging with in-house SW and FW diagnostics and tools.
  • Occasional interaction with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers) to analyze PHY performance.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
